I planted my green beans about 2 weeks ago and they are breaking through.  The weather around here has been cool and wet.

I planted my tomatoes yesterday trusting that we will not have any more frost. The 10 day forecast looks good -- hope so  -- I don't like to cover the plants.

I planted some impatiens and geraniums yesterday and plan on some more today.

Everything is green in Vienna this year due to the cool wet conditions. I bet you are still having frost up there in Duluth.      Plant a pansy or two. it won't be long now.  --- Ben

I've got my squash, tomatoes, peppers and cabbage in the ground.  My cukes have given up the ghost for some reason.  We've had lots of rain.  Hope we have rain through the summer months too.

I will second your motion for some rain this summer. For the past several summers it has been very dry around here.

So far, the conditions have been almost ideal.   Good luck with your vegetable garden. We will be driving through your state on our way to the beach in a couple of weeks and we will honk as we go by !    Regards Ben

Myrtle Beach?   What way do you go?  You can stop at my house.  I live on 601 South.

I bet we went right by your house every year on our way to Myrtle Breach. We took 601 through Monroe to Pageland. Did that for about 10 or 12 years !

We have gone to Hilton Head for the last 12 years and we take I77 from Vienna to it's end at Columbia . ---  So we will be zooming by at 75 MPH to the west of you. Thanks for the invite -- so like NC hospitality !  -- Ben

yep you did.  We're 3 miles from Hill Top.  Know where that is?  And about 10 miles from Pageland.  Our house faces 601.  Too bad.  My daughter goes to Hilton Head every year for a conference.  She was there last week and decided that's where she's going when she retires.  She's only 29 so that may change.
